Amazon has announced a new Prime event: the Prime Fall Deal.

After the Prime Day last July, which is one of the biggest events on Amazon, the American giant has announced a similar event that takes place on October 11 and 12, 2022.

1 - What is the Prime Fall Deal?

Since this is a new event, we don't, at this point, have much insight into the situation. We do know that this promotion will be similar to Prime Day.

As for the July promotion, you can use the Exclusive Discount Reward (minimum 20% on your products) but also the Lightning Deals and Best Deals.

This new event could generate additional sales in Q4, which would allow you to end the year with great sales. Indeed, on this last quarter, there are also nice events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as Christmas.

2 - Why participate?

The fact that the Prime Fall Deal is a new event on Amazon, it's important to participate in order to gauge how sales may be going. Moreover, it seems that this event is similar to Prime Day. Given the good numbers of July, we can therefore expect the same performance for this promotion.

Nevertheless, we stress again that we do not have the necessary hindsight to know if this is really a good way to make good sales.

At Les Pitchous, we advise you to take part in it but targeting the offer on your flagship products or your new products.

3 - How to organize for this event?

Like Prime Day, there are a few things to plan for beforehand:

A - Inventories :

When there is a promotion, there are usually more sales. So you need to anticipate this potential extra sales when you send your inventory to Amazon (for those in FBA).

In addition, we recommend that you send inventory on the products participating in the promotion now. This will ensure that the restocking is received by Amazon before the promotion begins.

Indeed, during Prime Day, the stocks received during this period took longer to arrive and therefore it can make you lose potential sales.

B - Optimize your product sheets :

It's often said, but doing some optimization work on your product pages can really make a difference on sales and results in general. During promotions, it gives even more visibility to your products.

Being properly listed on Amazon will help you generate organic sales and maximize your visibility in customer searches.
